The food here was excellent. We originally came here for the fun kids menu (Harry Potter steak) but all the food is excellent. The fish soup was amazing with a great mix of fish and the broth was stellar. I had been meaning to try the scabbard fish with banana and passion fruit and it was excellent, the right balance of sweet and savory. I would definitely recommend trying out this wonderful restaurant during your stay in Madeira!

Absolutely delicious food. I had the local speciality of scabbard fish with banana and then a crepe suzette for dessert. Nice atmosphere with some bossanova guitar. Would definitely recommend.

The food is incredibly good. The atmosphere is more casual seaside cafe then gourmet dining experience and maybe that’s why I liked it so much. Perhaps it’s because the service is laid back and friendly and it feels like the people are really glad you stopped by, but there is just something about this place that’s sets it apart and above other restaurants that offer great food at a reasonable price point. Perhaps, I’m just an old rock and roll fan that wants to feel comfortable and enjoy great food. Bottom line (conclusion not NY music venue), this place is The Boss.

Bruno the fantastic host as usual. Usual fantastic steak on the stone and also the salmon on the stone. I had the beef skewers, delicious and moist and full of flavour. Staff excellent and a great atmosphere. The gentleman playing music earlier in the evening was as friendly as ever. An all round superb family evening that keeps us coming back year after year after year. Thank you Bruno.

I really like the place, nice helpfull service, very tasty food, serve with maracuja souce and even small flowers. Very good experience, I like it. The portion was big enough and the price was 14.9€. I recommend the restaurant.

We were a little unfortunate with the food and one of the waiters, but the owner more than made up for it. He was very polite, understanding and with a great sense of humor. All in all, it was a nice experience. Next time will try the hot stone dishes as the owner recommended.Oh, and I recommend the liqueur in the picture 😉
Restaurant was extremely busy so the service was rather slow with everything: taking order, serving drinks(only water), starter and main course and payment. I think you need to allow 2h to dine here (2 course, not incl. dessert). We missed our movie as we didn’t think dinner would take so long.Live music was nice.Food was okay not the impressed. I didn’t know gazpacho was served cold and didn’t enjoy it. I think it would help to mention that in the menu.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!Really tasty food, kind and nice people working there - they welcomed us so, so nice.We received a Madeira wine & some salmon paste - compliments from the house - delicious! 🤩Nice staff, cozy place and really good food! It’s a must! 🙏🏻

Food and service is OK. But 4,5 rating here at Google when I write this review.. I can find other restaurants with that rating where the food is much better. It’s way to expansive compared to how good it is. I got the tbone steak. The meat was fine but the vegetables that came with it was just some boiled/steamed with not much taste.. The sautéed potatoes was soft and did not have much taste.. Not worth the money is my opinion
